Our mandate is to sustainably reduce the environmental footprint
and liability for our clients, using cost-effective, defensible scientific
techniques that exceed regulatory standards
— Lotfi Haji, CEO ECO ENGINEERING 2015

Our standards

Saskatchewan’s new environmental regulatory framework implemented in 2015 demands a higher standard of environmental compliance than ever before.

ECO implements the following strategies and resources to ensure your project meets these standards effectively:

  • A dedicated project team whose members include technical and regulatory experts and highly qualified and experienced geo-environmental scientists and engineers.

  • Decades of management experience with complex environmental projects requiring the balancing of government and client interests.

  • A phased approach implemented from site characterization through to corrective action development and closure. The approach applies defensible scientific principles through distinct chronological phases.

We believe this better accommodates the economic needs of our clients. In general, a project begins with detailed planning and formulation of an end-to-end project strategy. This involves early engagement of major stakeholders, including regulatory agencies. We then collaborate with these stakeholders to ensure project approval at all project stages. We believe that local knowledge as well as technical and regulatory know-how are key components of projects’ success – coupled with defensible science and strategic management. We have successfully implemented our approach to all our projects throughout Saskatchewan.
