Project Engineer/Geoscientist

 

ECO ENGINEERING LTD. (ECO), is a dynamic client oriented environmental consulting firm located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Since its inception in 2015, the company has managed to establish itself among its clientele and government agencies as an industry leader in its various fields of operations. Responsibilities

o Overriding commitment to health, safety and environmental protection

o Conformance with company policies and procedures and statutory obligations

o Promotion of team environment and teamwork

o Identify and develop business opportunities

o Develop key relationships with clients and regulatory agencies

o Plan, design, execute, monitor and close projects

o Manage contractors and suppliers

o Oversee the collection of pertinent data for various phases of the projects

o Manage project teams to meet project’s schedule and budget

o Protect and promote ECO’s interest on and off the job

Education and Training

o B. Sc. in Geotechnical, Geology, Hydrogeology, Civil and or Environmental Engineering. Advanced degree is preferred

o Preference will be given to candidates with a Professional designation and formal training in project management

 

 

Experience:

o Minimum of 7 to 10 years progressively responsible experience in design, operation, maintenance, closure and assessment of municipal and resource industry infrastructures

o Demonstrated familiarity with federal and provincial regulations

o Experience with stakeholder engagement and management

o Experience in preparing tender documents

o Experience in project management (budgeting, scheduling, estimating and invoice management)

o Experience in identifying and developing new markets

o Strong written and verbal communication

o Ability to influence others with no or minimal direct control

o Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment

o Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities

o Ability to supervise and manage contractors

o Ability to work effectively individually and as a team member with minimal supervision

o Business acumen

o Excellent listening skills

 

 

Requires travel to project sites
